People always ask when is the best time to start a business?
The Best Time is RIGHT NOW
When starting a business in the United States, your state of residency and the laws that govern small business structuring are the most important formality to be aware of. Research the name availability of your new business, decide on the appropriate corporate structure, file the articles of incorporation, and establish a statutory agent to receive any legal paperwork on your behalf. (This is not legal advice)
The legal portion of starting your small business having been taken care, a big piece of the initial process will be complete. However, it is only where the work for you begins. There are pros and cons, as with anything else, in owning a small business, and knowing what they are before starting the process is advantageous. The pros, such as freedom and availability, not having to answer to a boss to answer to, and being in charge of the things that matter most to you and your customers are what make being a business owner worthwhile. The cons are that everything is your responsibility and will demand your attention, all of the risk, financially and otherwise is yours, and you may find yourself having to learn parts of a business you aren’t familiar with, such as accurate bookkeeping. It's not easy and you will have good days and rough rough days. Don't get discouraged and push ahead.
